OGDC Announces First Gas from Lundali-1 Well in Sukkur-II Block

Oil & Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) has announced the successful commissioning of the Lundali-1 well in the Sukkur-II Block, Sindh, with first gas achieved on September 6, 2026.

OGDCL, which holds a 30% working interest in the block, said the well is currently producing approximately 10 million standard cubic feet per day (MMscfd) of gas at a wellhead pressure of 2,000 pounds per square inch (psi). The gas is being supplied to Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGC).

The Sukkur-II Block is operated by Prime Global Energies Limited, which holds a 25% working interest. Other partners include Mari Energies Limited with a 30% stake and Turkish Petroleum Overseas Company Limited with a 15% interest.

The Petroleum Concession Agreement and Exploration License for Sukkur-II Block (2568-23) became effective on December 2, 2025. OGDCL said the Lundali-1 well was drilled under a previous joint-venture arrangement and was subsequently brought on stream by the current joint venture.

The company said the commencement of production is expected to contribute additional indigenous gas to Pakistan’s national energy supply.
