Petrol price cut by PKR 0.75, diesel hiked by PKR 2.24

The federal government has revised petroleum prices for the upcoming fortnight, reducing the ex-depot price of petrol by PKR 0.75 per litre while increasing the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) by PKR 2.24 per litre, following recommendations by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra).

Under the revised rates, petrol will be sold at PKR 335.06 per litre, down from PKR 335.81, while HSD will increase to PKR 390.62 per litre from PKR 388.38.

According to the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division), the revised prices reflect Ogra's assessment of international petroleum prices and exchange rate movements under the existing fuel pricing mechanism.

The government has kept the petroleum levy unchanged at PKR 80 per litre on petrol and PKR 70.82 per litre on HSD. The Climate Support Levy (CSL) also remains unchanged at PKR 5 per litre, while customs duty stands at PKR 17.28 per litre on petrol and PKR 15.68 per litre on HSD.
