Oil Prices Edge Higher as Markets Await US-Iran Talks

Oil prices edged higher on Tuesday as markets stabilized following several sessions of losses, with investors closely monitoring the possibility of US-Iran talks on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly this week.

Brent crude futures for November delivery rose 22 cents, or 0.22%, to $100.57 per barrel at 0021 GMT.

US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude for October delivery, which expires on Tuesday, was up 2 cents, or 0.02%, at $95.80 per barrel.

Market attention remains focused on developments surrounding US-Iran diplomatic contacts, with any progress potentially affecting expectations for crude supply and geopolitical risk in the region.
