Dutch Ambassador to Pakistan Robert-Jan Seigert visited FrieslandCampina Engro Pakistan Limited (FCEPL) to discuss the outlook for Pakistan's dairy sector, investment opportunities and workforce development, the company said on Wednesday.
During the meeting, FCEPL's management briefed the ambassador on the company's operations, ongoing initiatives and plans to expand and modernise Pakistan's dairy value chain.
The discussions focused on strengthening local talent, enhancing skills development and creating opportunities for sustainable investment in the dairy sector.
Seigert said Pakistan's dairy industry has significant growth potential, supported by a capable workforce and the increasing adoption of modern farming and processing practices. He also emphasised the importance of improving access to safe dairy products while reducing reliance on loose milk consumption.
FCEPL Managing Director Kashan Hasan said the company remains committed to working with stakeholders to support the development of Pakistan's dairy industry and expand access to safe, high-quality and nutritious dairy products across the country.
