CDF, US Lawmakers Discuss Regional Security and Bilateral Cooperation

Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir met two US lawmakers at the General Headquarters (GHQ) to discuss regional security, bilateral defence cooperation, and opportunities to strengthen economic ties.

 

During the meeting, the army chief highlighted Pakistan’s economic potential, emphasising that sustainable regional stability depends on economic growth, trade expansion, and regional connectivity. He also briefed the delegation on ongoing structural reforms aimed at improving the business environment and attracting foreign investment.

 

The US lawmakers acknowledged Pakistan’s role in promoting regional stability and economic resilience, reaffirming their commitment to expanding bilateral economic, commercial, and institutional cooperation between the two countries.
