Oil prices remained above $100 a barrel on Thursday after Brent crude crossed the key threshold, as escalating attacks on shipping increased fears of further disruptions to global oil supplies.
Brent crude futures slipped 0.1% to $101.10 a barrel by 0256 GMT, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) rose 0.2% to $96.24 a barrel.
The latest attacks by Iran and the United States on shipping vessels are being closely watched by oil markets, with traders preparing for potentially deeper supply disruptions as the six-month-old conflict intensifies.
