Pakistan is seeking to further strengthen its technology partnership with Saudi Arabia, with a focus on digital innovation, emerging technologies and skills development.
Minister for IT and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja, speaking at the LEAP 2026 conference in Riyadh, said continued cooperation between the two countries could create new opportunities for investment, innovation and economic growth.
She reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to expanding bilateral collaboration in the technology sector, particularly in areas related to digital transformation and capacity building.
Khawaja said Pakistan had also established a stronger institutional foundation for its digital transformation through the Digital Nation Pakistan Act.
The legislation established the National Digital Commission and Pakistan Digital Authority, providing dedicated institutional structures to oversee and support the country’s digital development.
The minister expressed confidence that closer engagement with Saudi Arabia in technology and digital innovation would contribute to shared economic opportunities and strengthen bilateral ties.
