Pakistan’s exports to China increased 45% year-on-year to $478 million during July-August FY2026-27, up from $331 million in the same period last year, according to Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) data.
China remained Pakistan’s second-largest export market during the first two months of FY2026-27, behind the United States. Exports to the US rose 10% YoY to $1.172 billion from $1.061 billion.
Among other major markets, exports to Spain increased 22% to $374 million, while shipments to Germany rose 3% to $291 million. Exports to the Netherlands grew 7% to $283 million, while those to the UAE increased 2% to $282 million.
Exports to the Philippines surged 602% to $108 million, while shipments to Singapore rose 204% to $75 million and Malaysia increased 99% to $74 million. Exports to Japan and Brazil also grew 26% and 41%, reaching $36 million and $33 million, respectively.
Meanwhile, exports to Italy fell 10% to $182 million, while shipments to Bangladesh declined 11% to $122 million. Exports to Belgium, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Poland and Tanzania also recorded declines during the period.
Regionally, Pakistan’s exports to the European Union increased 4% YoY to $2.062 billion in July-August, while exports to Asia rose 10% to $1.673 billion. Exports to the Americas increased 9% to $1.346 billion, while shipments to Oceania grew 12% to $56 million.
Exports to Africa, however, declined 3% to $310 million.
In August alone, exports to Asia and the Americas increased 10% each, reaching $801 million and $634 million, respectively. Exports to the EU fell 3% to $898 million, while shipments to Africa declined 9% to $150 million.
