Cotton spot rate falls Rs200 to Rs18,200 per maund

The Karachi Cotton Association (KCA) lowered its cotton spot rate by Rs200 per maund on Thursday, bringing it down to Rs18,200 per maund.
 
Market activity remained subdued, with a bearish trend and low trading volumes reported in the local cotton market.
 
In Sindh, cotton prices ranged between Rs17,800 and Rs18,100 per maund, while Phutti was traded at Rs8,600–9,000 per 40kg.
 
Punjab cotton prices stood between Rs17,900 and Rs18,300 per maund, with Phutti changing hands at Rs8,600–9,200 per 40kg.
 
In Balochistan, cotton was quoted at Rs18,000–18,300 per maund, while Phutti prices ranged from Rs8,700 to Rs9,300 per 40kg.
 
Meanwhile, polyester fibre was quoted at Rs445 per kilogram.
