Pakistan, Iran Discuss Regional Situation and Bilateral Cooperation

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met his Iranian counterpart Eskandar Momeni in Tehran on Monday, with the two sides discussing Pakistan-Iran relations and the latest regional developments.
 
Naqvi arrived in Tehran on an official visit and was received by Momeni at the airport, according to Pakistan’s Interior Ministry.
 
During the meeting, the two ministers reviewed progress on ongoing cooperation between the interior ministries of both countries across various areas.
 
Momeni thanked Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir for their efforts toward promoting peace and stability in the region.
 
The Iranian minister also appreciated Pakistan’s continued efforts to support regional peace and described his recent visit to Pakistan as productive.
 
Naqvi said Pakistan and Iran would work to further strengthen bilateral relations and cooperation in the coming days.
