Mari Energies Commissions Lundali-1 Well in Sukkur-II Block

Mari Energies Limited has announced the successful commissioning of the Lundali-1 well in the Sukkur-II Block, Sindh, marking another development in Pakistan’s domestic oil and gas sector.

The well was commissioned by a joint venture comprising Prime Global Energies Limited (25% working interest), Mari Energies Limited (30%), Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (30%), and Turkish Petroleum Overseas Company Limited (15%).

According to the company’s disclosure, Lundali-1 achieved first gas on September 6, 2026. The well is currently producing approximately 10 MMscf of gas per day at a wellhead pressure of 2,000 psi, with the gas being supplied to Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGC).

The Sukkur-II Block operates under a Petroleum Concession Agreement and Exploration License for Block 2568-23, which became effective on December 2, 2025. The joint venture accelerated exploration and development activities, ultimately leading to the successful commissioning of the Lundali-1 well.

Mari Energies said the development reflects the joint venture’s efforts to strengthen Pakistan’s energy security by expanding the country’s indigenous hydrocarbon resources.
