The Hub Power Company Limited (HUBCO) has announced a significant development in its exploration and production operations, with its wholly owned subsidiary Prime Global Energy Limited achieving successful commissioning of the Lundali-1 well in the Sukkur-II Block.
According to a notice submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), Prime Global, through its wholly owned subsidiary Prime Global International Energy Limited, successfully commissioned the Lundali-1 well on September 6, 2026.
The well has been completed with a 2,000-psi wellhead pressure, while its gas is being supplied to Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGC).
HUBCO said the Sukkur-II Block is operated by Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) in partnership with Mari Energies Limited (MEL) and Turkish Petroleum Overseas Company Limited (TPOC).
The company noted that the Sukkur-II (Block 2568-23) Petroleum Concession Agreement and Exploration Licence became effective on December 25, 2025. Following the licence award, exploration activities in the block were accelerated, culminating in the successful commissioning of the Lundali-1 well.
HUBCO described the development as an important milestone in its efforts to strengthen Pakistan’s energy security by promoting the development of indigenous hydrocarbon resources.
