Oil nears $100 as fresh Middle East strikes fuel supply disruption fears

Oil prices extended their gains for a fourth consecutive session on Wednesday, rising more than $1 in early trading as renewed strikes across the Middle East heightened concerns over potential disruptions to global crude supplies.

Brent crude futures climbed 1.4% to $99.33 per barrel by 0212 GMT, bringing prices closer to the key $100-a-barrel level.

U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude also gained 1.4%, trading at $94.34 per barrel.

The latest increase reflects growing market concerns that escalating regional tensions could threaten oil production and transportation, potentially tightening global supply.
