PM Shehbaz reviews progress on Youth Programme initiatives

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday reviewed the progress of ongoing initiatives and future plans under the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme during a meeting with its Chairman Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan.

The programme chairman briefed the prime minister on various projects and initiatives currently being implemented to support young people across education, skills development, employment and entrepreneurship.

The meeting reviewed measures aimed at equipping youth with modern education and market-driven skills, expanding opportunities in the digital economy and promoting employment and entrepreneurial activities.

Discussions also focused on broadening the scope of existing educational, digital, skills development and welfare programmes while ensuring their effective and transparent implementation.

Prime Minister Shehbaz said Pakistan’s youth were the country's most valuable asset and key to its future development and prosperity.

He said the government was utilising available resources to create greater opportunities for young people in modern education, professional skills, employment and entrepreneurship.

The prime minister directed authorities to make projects under the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme more effective and result-oriented, ensuring they are aligned with the evolving needs and aspirations of young people.

He also instructed relevant authorities to accelerate the implementation of priority projects under the programme.
