OGRA Raises LPG Prices for September

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has increased the notified price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) by Rs4.33 per kilogram for September.

Under the revised rates, LPG will now cost Rs258.65 per kg, while the price of a standard 11.8kg domestic cylinder has increased by Rs51.17 to Rs3,052.

The latest increase follows a previous hike in August, adding further pressure on households and businesses that rely on LPG for cooking and other daily needs.

The impact is expected to be particularly significant for consumers without access to piped natural gas, as well as restaurants, hotels, tea shops and other small businesses that depend on cylinder-based fuel.

Actual retail prices may, however, vary across different areas depending on transportation, distribution and other local costs.
