International Packaging Films Limited (IPAK) has announced plans to establish an indirect wholly owned subsidiary in Portugal as part of its strategy to expand its footprint in the European market.
In a notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the company said the new entity will be incorporated through IPAK Connect Packaging Materials Trading FZCO, its wholly owned subsidiary based in Dubai, UAE, subject to obtaining all required legal, regulatory and corporate approvals.
Once incorporated, the Portuguese company will be fully owned by IPAK Connect, making it an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of International Packaging Films Limited.
The company said the new subsidiary will strengthen the group's commercial presence in Europe, enhance customer engagement, support marketing and distribution activities, and facilitate future expansion across European markets.
IPAK added that it will keep the PSX informed of any material developments regarding the incorporation process.
