Saudi Arabia has restarted operations on its East-West oil pipeline and may resume crude exports from the Red Sea port of Yanbu later on Tuesday, according to three sources familiar with the matter.
Two of the sources said the pipeline had restarted at a relatively low flow rate, suggesting that operations are being restored gradually following recent disruption.
The East-West Pipeline is a key route for transporting Saudi crude from its eastern oil-producing region to the Red Sea coast, allowing exports to bypass the Strait of Hormuz.
The development could help restore some of Saudi Arabia’s export capacity through Yanbu after a reported attack earlier this month caused damage to infrastructure linked to the pipeline.
Saudi Arabia has not publicly confirmed the timing of the resumption of Yanbu exports.
Market participants are closely monitoring the restart as any recovery in Saudi export flows could influence global crude supply and oil prices amid ongoing geopolitical risks in the region.
