The federal government has increased the price of High-Speed Diesel (HSD) by Rs1.64 per litre and petrol by Re0.27 per litre, effective August 21.
Under the revised petroleum prices, petrol has increased from Rs337.51 to Rs337.78 per litre, while HSD has risen from Rs363.06 to Rs364.70 per litre.
The new prices were notified by the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division) following a revision by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) under the government’s petroleum pricing mechanism.
The latest adjustment comes just a day after the government cut the HSD price by Rs32.63 per litre while raising petrol by Rs2.97 per litre.
The latest prices will remain applicable until the next adjustment, with petroleum rates continuing to reflect movements in international oil prices and other relevant cost factors.
