The government has sharply reduced the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs32.63 per litre, while increasing petrol prices by Rs2.97 per litre, effective August 20, 2026.
According to the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), the price of HSD has been lowered from Rs395.69 to Rs363.06 per litre.
Meanwhile, petrol prices have increased from Rs334.54 to Rs337.51 per litre.
The latest adjustment comes as the government continues to revise petroleum prices in line with changes in international oil prices and other cost factors.
In the previous price review, HSD had been increased by Rs5.27 per litre, while petrol prices were raised by Rs3.34 per litre.
