Oil prices remained largely stable in early Thursday trading as investors assessed developments surrounding the US-Iran conflict and potential risks to oil shipments through the strategically important Strait of Hormuz.
Brent crude futures for October delivery edged up 25 cents, or 0.3%, to $91.87 per barrel by 0037 GMT. Meanwhile, September West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude slipped 2 cents to $85.81 per barrel. The more actively traded October WTI contract rose 14 cents, or 0.2%, to $84.53 per barrel.
Market sentiment remains focused on the potential impact of the conflict on regional oil supplies and shipping activity through the Strait of Hormuz.
