Kohinoor Textile Mills approves 48.36MW battery storage system

Kohinoor Textile Mills Limited has approved the installation of a 48.36MW Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) along with an additional 9.34MW solar power installation, according to material information submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX).

The company said the solar power plant and BESS are expected to be commissioned and begin commercial operations during the last month of Q2 FY2026-27.

Kohinoor Textile Mills stated that the investment is aimed at improving operational efficiency, supporting sustainability, and creating long-term value for shareholders. The project is also expected to generate significant savings in energy costs.
