Pakistan, Azerbaijan Discuss Expanding Cooperation in Trade, Energy and Investment

Pakistan and Azerbaijan have reaffirmed their commitment to expanding bilateral cooperation across key sectors, including trade, investment, energy, education, and tourism, during a meeting between Azerbaijan's outgoing Ambassador Khazar Farhadov and Acting Governor of Punjab and Speaker of the Punjab Assembly Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan.
 
The meeting focused on strengthening economic and strategic ties, with both sides discussing opportunities to deepen collaboration in areas of mutual interest.
 
Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan said Pakistan and Azerbaijan share a longstanding relationship built on mutual trust and friendship, stressing the need to unlock greater cooperation in trade, energy, investment, education, and tourism.
 
He also praised Ambassador Farhadov for his contributions to strengthening bilateral relations during his tenure in Pakistan and extended his best wishes for his future diplomatic assignments.
 
Ambassador Farhadov thanked the government and people of Pakistan for their hospitality and expressed confidence that relations between the two countries would continue to expand. He reaffirmed his commitment to promoting bilateral trade, investment, and people-to-people exchanges.
 
The meeting was also attended by senior Punjab Assembly officials and members of the provincial administration.
