Pakistan's trade deficit widened 25.17% year-on-year to USD 3.94 billion in July 2026, as import growth continued to outpace exports, according to data released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS).
Exports rose 9.54% YoY to USD 2.94 billion, while imports increased 18% YoY to USD 6.89 billion, resulting in a wider trade gap compared with USD 3.15 billion recorded in July 2025.
On a monthly basis, exports climbed 31.09% from USD 2.24 billion in June, whereas imports edged down 0.17% to USD 6.89 billion. As a result, the monthly trade deficit narrowed 15.22% compared with the previous month.
