FBR’s July tax collection rises by PKR 36bn

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) collected PKR 816 billion in tax revenue during July 2026, surpassing its monthly target of PKR 780 billion by PKR 36 billion.

 

The collection also marked an increase of PKR 62 billion from the PKR 754 billion raised in July 2025. Officials said the total could reach around PKR 820 billion once final figures are compiled.

 

According to officials, this is the first time the FBR has exceeded its July revenue target, attributing the performance to improved planning, stronger enforcement measures and the revenue collection strategy implemented by FBR Chairman Rashid Mahmood Langrial and Member Inland Revenue (Operations) Zubair Bilal.
