Gold prices climbed to a two-week high on Wednesday, supported by technical buying as investors monitored the escalating conflict in the Middle East and awaited next week's US Federal Reserve meeting for signals on the future path of interest rates.
Spot gold rose 1.6% to USD 4,139.64 per ounce after touching its highest level since July 7, while US gold futures for August delivery gained 1.7% to USD 4,144.20 per ounce.
